This week’s WCW is the author Louise Penny.
I’ve mentioned before that I spent the summer reading her Inspector Gamache mystery series. As luck has it, my book club chose the newest Louise Penny book for our November book. So I’m back at it with Inspector Gamache and loving it.
Thank you Ms. Penny!
Here are just a few of the reasons I find her mystery series so compelling.
It’s set in Canada. And she really gets the Great White North.
She describes the crisp white snow of the Quebec wilderness and I feel at home.
She captures the creature comforts of the Canadian winter and has me looking forward to a crackling fire while a fresh snow fall decorated the yard.
The characters are just as rich. The mystery is compelling without being tense or gruesome. So, thank you Ms. Penny for the perfect sofa-in-front-of-crackling-fire book.
Bliss.
Enjoy,
S.
I like her books also
